Alexia Bowers is a seasoned project manager and project executor, with a 15-year history of serving entrepreneurs as their trusted “number two” – the person who takes their visions and drives them to action. She has a broad base of experience in a variety of roles, spanning technology, marketing, operations, graphic design, and general management. She excels at structuring chaos around a vision and routinely adapts to new areas, with a focus on maturing them up until her talents are no longer needed. She joined HolacracyOne at its inception to help spread Holacracy, a novel approach to organization that’s rapidly expanding around the world. Her academic background includes four years of teaching undergraduate-level courses, and significant lab work as a Neuroscientist and Ph.D. student.
Rebecca has 15 years experience in continuing professional development, technology implementation, and organizational behavior in the nonprofit sector. Her specific areas of expertise are fostering cultures of service and process refinement. Her dedication to service manifested in work to prevent domestic violence and sexual assault, promote support of the performing arts and provide continuing education for healthcare professionals. A keen interest in efficient work led her to Holacracy in 2014 where she sought further education resulting in certification as a Holacracy Coach and partnership in HolacracyOne. Rebecca holds a Bachelor’s degree in music and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of California, Davis.
Olivier is a seasoned consultant and coach with years of experience supporting companies transition to Holacracy. Native from France, he has a background in social science and moved to the US to pursue a Master’s in psychology, with a specialization in adult development psychology. His passion for interpersonal dynamics in the workplace led him to study various conflict-resolution practices from Non-Violent Communication to mediation. Olivier is also a closet technologist fascinated by how technology can disrupt old industries, including how new ways of organizing like Holacracy can best support these changes.
Chris is an accomplished consultant and leadership development expert. He joined HolacracyOne after seeing the limits of many traditional leadership development approaches that failed to address underlying organizational norms and power structures. Chris sees Holacracy as a practical tool for clarifying decision-making authority, which dramatically reduces politics while allowing individual creative expression. He has worked with a wide variety of commercial, non-profit, and governmental clients on their manager training programs and has taught graduate courses in leadership at Harvard University and Georgetown University. Chris has a Masters in Divinity from Harvard Divinity School and a doctorate in Human and Organizational Learning from the George Washington University.
Michael is an experienced business leader with C-level executive experience in different industries including healthcare, entertainment, technology, and natural resources. Starting as a Computer Scientist for the US Department of the Interior he moved on to lead technology teams at the Walt Disney company and eventually become the Deputy CIO for the State of Washington where he led the first large scale implementation of Holacracy in Government in the world. He also partnered with Harvard Business School researchers and others to lead the first controlled experiment of Holacracy. Now at HolacracyOne, he is helping businesses around the world think through the executive challenges of driving this level of change in their organizations. When he’s not helping organizations with self-management concepts he’s working with self-organizing honeybees as an avid beekeeper.
Tara Everhart is a Holacracy coach, writer, and strategist for HolacracyOne. Trained in both Conscious Business Coaching and Nonviolent Communication, Tara feels passionate about the impact that Holacracy has for improving communication and interpersonal dynamics among team members. Through new tools designed to generate transparency of authority and build clear agreements about work, the Holacracy practice supports productive – rather than destructive – conflict.
Tara is one of only two Spanish-speaking Certified Holacracy Coaches in the world. In addition to supporting clients with their Holacracy learning, Tara is co-creator of the Holacracy Forum, an annual peer-to-peer learning lab for Holacracy practitioners. Currently, she’s focused on piloting an e-learning platform to extend the impact of Holacracy to practitioners around the globe.
Matt is a partner at HolacracyOne, an econ nerd, a cooking enthusiast, and a mushroom forager. His previous experiences in working in startups and education sparked an interest in rethinking organizations, eventually leading to a passion for Holacracy as a solution for the complex challenges of self-management.
In his roles at HolacracyOne, Matt jumps in wherever energy is needed and his skills can be put to use, from making sure GlassFrog is GDPR-compliant to helping Outreach set and achieve OKRs, and everywhere in-between.
Matt holds a BA in Political Science from North Carolina State University and a JD from North Carolina Central University. He currently resides in eastern North Carolina and can usually be found with a cat on his lap and a book in his headphones.
Eric is a partner with HolacracyOne and a certified Holacracy Coach. He teaches regularly at Holacracy Practitioner and Coach trainings, consults with companies adopting Holacracy, and is a lead assessor in the Holacracy certification process. He has an MA in Integral Psychology, is a long-time meditator, and is interested in supporting mindfulness, emotional intelligence, and cultural development within organizations.
Lewis Hoffman is an accomplished agile software engineer with 15 years experience building rich web applications and a decade practicing agile. His track record includes an early web-based cms, a hybrid human-machine data integration engine, an innovative wiki implementation, and several years on Pivotal Tracker, a prominent agile software project management system. Accompanying software expertise, Lewis has lived in various intentional communities for almost a decade and has an avid interest in communication and organizational practices. Having experienced the transformative power of carefully chosen discipline and process within multiple domains, Lewis sees Holacracy as an evolutionary next step delivering even further reaching benefits to organizations.
With a wide range of experience over 30 years: in private, public and non-profit sectors; employed, freelance, entrepreneur, volunteer; with organisations including Shell, Learning and Skills Improvement Service and the Princes Trust; in the UK, Europe, North and South America. This experience combined with his fascination for and study of how people learn and work together provides Nick with an unusually wide and deep perspective on organisations, management and leadership.
Brian Robertson is an experienced entrepreneur, organizational pioneer, and author of the book Holacracy: The New Management System for a Rapidly Changing World. He is most well-known for his work developing Holacracy®, a self-management practice for running purpose-driven, responsive companies. Mr. Robertson currently works as a business partner at HolacracyOne, the organization he launched to steward the Holacracy practice and assist other organizations seeking to adopt it. Holacracy® has been adopted by over 1,000 companies around the world to date.
Yoad is an early e-commerce entrepreneur, book dealer, and tech recruiter who followed his curiosity to HolacacyOne. As a partner at HolacracyOne he enjoys making connections between the internal and external voices, coordinating coaching projects, negotiating speaking engagements, and working in a variety of roles in internal operations. He’s also a coffee lover, GTD enthusiast, and enjoys exploring the nondual nature of reality.
Skye’s work/life trajectory goes something like Shepard, Monk, Teacher, Counselor, Engineer. In his current iteration as an Engineer he is in love with the task of building machines out of words, but his history makes everything he does a reflection of his love for people and their process. At HolacracyOne, Skye is delighted to be in the business of changing how businesses do business, because we, as individuals, make up the corporations that are having such an impact, and it’s time we started acting like it.
