Our Neighborhood Child Development Center is a school. Our purpose is to be a partner on your journey with children.
Starting a ripple effect of respect and connection. A few years into running a school interested in power-with relationships we realized that teachers trapped in a management hierarchy passed the pains of that experience on to young children. We cannot ask teachers to teach in a power-with way while managing and teaching them in a power-over organizational structure. Holacracy deepened our commitment to respect and connection with adults and that furthered our work with children. Through Holacracy our school is evolving towards world peace, basically.
Our mission is to create a world in which all children and adults are treated with respect, and viewed as whole, important, and competent. Using Holacracy helped us, we want to help others.
