cubic solutions GmbH is a specialized consulting company for Microsoft 365. We support small and mid-sized organizations as well as non-profits in securing their ideas and business in a digital world.

Our expertise focuses on Identity & Access Management, Security, Compliance, and Device Management. In addition, we provide Managed Services such as a Security Operations Center, Managed Workplace, and our own SaaS solution Clarios, which checks Microsoft 365 tenants for security and compliance.

We are organized holacratically – with clear roles, transparent responsibilities, and maximum flexibility for our team. This allows us to respond quickly, collaboratively, and with deep expertise to the needs of our customers.

Why We Started With Holacracy

We adopted Holacracy because it fosters an entrepreneurial mindset across all team members and gives everyone the freedom to unfold their strengths. It allows us to act with agility and speed while providing full transparency of roles and responsibilities. We also actively use Holacracy as a hiring tool: candidates can see which roles exist, which are open, and where they might contribute, making onboarding much smoother. As a young company, Holacracy also gives us clarity on all activities, how much time they consume, and which tasks can be delegated so we can stay focused on our core purpose.

Our Biggest Win

One of our biggest successes was onboarding our second team member. Thanks to Holacracy, he quickly understood the structure, knew exactly what roles existed, and could contribute from day one. Even complex areas like data protection and GDPR were already structured into roles, which made alignment and accountability very clear.

Our Biggest Challenge

Currently, our biggest challenge is mapping ISO 27001 into Holacracy with all its roles and documentation requirements in a way that satisfies auditors. Another challenge has been helping new colleagues unfamiliar with Holacracy to confidently process tensions and embrace mistakes as part of learning. In the beginning, this often caused fear, but over time people realized that mistakes are not only accepted but also valuable for growth.
