Purpose: Promote personal and social transformation towards a more beautiful, wiser and more respectful world

Alqvimia is more than a manufacturer and distributor of high quality, 100% natural cosmetics with organic ingredients; our products are made using the ancient art of alchemy by master perfumers, among the natural surroundings of La Garrotxa, Girona (Spain) at the feet of the Pyrenees. From these beautiful surroundings we make our cosmetic products with love, products which evoke a transformation of body, mind and soul; and from here we try to inspire and promote a new humanized economy, one which respects and cares for our planet and the well-being of all human beings.

Why We Started With Holacracy

My father founded the company and as a philosopher was always in search of doing things "differently", and proving to the world that a company could be run with love and respect, to nature, to its employees, to the world... When I started in the company he put me in charge of this aspect as he hadn't found anything concrete, but had done lots of small initiatives. We magically both came across Holacracy at more or less the same time (2018), him through Fredrik Laloux's Reinventing Organizations book, and me through the Conscious Capitalism convention in Barcelona. We both agreed this was the way forward: a tried and proven method that guarantees respect and creates a balances power method, but with the flexibility to make it your own and adapt to your reality. That same December I went for my practitioner training with Brian Robertson in Amsterdam, in in January 2019 we started our journey with Holacracy across the whole organization.

Our Biggest Win

Getting through Covid with almost no struggles and maintaining our sales. In 95% of the success I owe to Holacracy and to the "what can I do to help" philosophy.

Our Biggest Challenge

To keep evolving Holacracy, and not get "stuck" in the basics of Holacracy.
