Programs for End-User Organizations

Open-Use License

Any organization may take advantage of the open-use Holacracy license to practice Holacracy as its organizational paradigm, provided that the organization is not offering Holacracy-related services or using Holacracy for anything beyond internal organizational purposes. An organization using the open-use license may not advertise itself as “Holacracy-Powered” (see below). However, it may advertise itself as using/practicing Holacracy as long as the statement includes a link or reference to a HolacracyOne-supplied webpage with further explanation.

Holacracy-Powered Organization™

The open-use license invites any organization to practice Holacracy with few restrictions. As a result, there's no guarantee an organization that says its practicing Holacracy is doing so with any degree of skill or integrity to the practice; some are simply early in their learning curve, while others are unaware that they’re missing or misusing key elements of the practice.

To help maintain integrity of the Holacracy brand, HolacracyOne provides an official Holacracy-Powered Organization seal that organizations can display once they’re fully practicing all major aspects of Holacracy, as well as a link to a webpage of HolacracyOne explaining what that seal means. To obtain this acknowledgement, an organization must show an appropriate level of practice on a Holacracy audit conducted in alignment with HolacracyOne-specified auditing standards.

There is currently no fee for the Holacracy-Powered Organization program, other than any costs incurred for the audit process (though organizations with an in-house Certified Holacracy Practitioner can perform the audit without using external consultants).
